14. INITIAL INSTALLATION: DEVICE NOT FOUND
If you get a “DEVICE NOT FOUND” message, this means your app is not able to connect to Gogogate2 properly.
Main reason is one of the following:
SOLUTION Nº1 (FIREWALL ISSUE):
Disable your firewall or grant access to Gogogate2 device. If you do not know how to disable your network’s firewall or grant access to Gogogate2, please contact your IT company for further instructions.
SOLUTION Nº2 (WI-FI REPEATER/SUBNETWORKS):
If your Wi-Fi adapter is blinking blue consistently (light never does not go off for 2 or more seconds), it means the Gogogate2 device is connected to your Wi-Fi network properly. This, however, may not be sufficient for you to operate the system from your Smartphone because you have Wi-Fi repeaters at home or subnetworks that do not allow you to access the device locally.
In order to skip this issue, you must enable the REMOTE ACCESS feature using a web browser.
Please follow the below instructions in order to do so:
1. Access your router using your web browser by typing its IP address in the navigation bar. Most routers have an IP address similar to this: 192.168.1.1 or 10.0.0.1 . If yours is different, please contact your IT company. Please login into your router.
2. Once connected to your router, you must look for the Gogogate2 device IP address (assigned by router). For this, look for “Connected devices” or “DHCP” menú option. You should see a list of IP address like this:
3. Open a new window/tab in your web browser and enter the Gogogate2 device IP address.
4. Login into your Gogogate2 device and look for the “Remote Access” option under the SETTINGS menu.
a) Log in using the user name "admin" and the password set during initial installation.
b) Under the SETTINGS menu go to REMOTE ACCESS.
c) Press the Enable Access button to enable remote access.
d) Read the terms and conditions and check the box to accept.
e) Introduce the 16 digit long activation code found in your user manual (included in the GGG2 packaging).
f) Press ACTIVATE to finally enable the REMOTE ACCESS.
